Use of Least Means Squares Filter in Control of Optical Beam Jitter
نویسندگان
چکیده
Meeting optical beam jitter requirements is becoming a challenging problem for several space programs. A laser beam jitter control test bed has been developed at the Naval Postgraduate School to develop improved jitter control techniques. Several control techniques, such as least means squares and linear–quadratic regulator were applied for jitter control. Enhancement in least means squares techniques to improve convergence rate was achieved by adding anadaptive biasfilter to the reference signal. In the experiments, the platform is vibrated at 50 and87Hz. In addition, a fast steering mirror is used to inject a random component of 200 Hz band-limited white noise. The experimental results demonstrated that the addition of the adaptive bias filter to the least means squares algorithm significantly increased the converging rate of the controller. To achieve the reduction of both sinusoidal and random jitter, a combination of least means squares/adaptive bias filter and linear–quadratic regulator is most effective. The least means squares/adaptive bias filter control is most effective for a sinusoidal jitter and the linear–quadratic regulator control for a random jitter.

Least Squares Techniques for GPS Receivers Positioning Filter using Pseudo-range and Carrier Phase Measurements
In present study, using Least Squares (LS) method, we determine the position smoothing in GPS single-frequency receiver by means of pseudo-range and carrier phase measurements. The application of pseudo-range or carrier phase measurements in GPS receiver positioning separately can lead to defects. By means of pseudo-range data, we have position with less precision and more distortion. By use of...

متن کاملSpoofing Mitigation of GPS Receiver using Least Mean Squares-Based Adaptive Filter
The Global Positioning System (GPS) signals are very weak signal over wireless channels, so they are vulnerable to in-band interferences. Therefore, even a low-power interference can easily spoof GPS receivers. Among the variety of GPS signal interference, spoofing is considered as the most dangerous intentional interference. The spoofing effects can mitigate with an appropriate strategy in the...

A simple and rapid method for the determination of 137Ba isotope abundances in water samples by inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) coupled with least-squares support vector machine regression (LS-SVM) is reported. By evaluation of emission lines of barium, it was found that the emission line at 493.408 nm provides the best results for the determination...
